Redemptive Compassion®
The Biblical Call to Wholistic Help
The purpose of Redemptive Compassion is to offer compassion in such a way that it helps redeem and restore one to the fulness of life God has promised to all.
“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10
To redeem means to get back something that has been lost, sold or given away.
To restore means to return or repair something to a lost or former condition, place or position.
Offering compassion that has redemptive power is to offer compassion in ways that can redeem someone back into right relationship with their Creator and restore them to the fulness of life God created them to have. A life of hope, joy, and peace.
Six Core Principles of Redemptive Compassion
Redemptive Compassion is a biblical philosophy on how we can offer wholistic help to those we serve. It challenges many current and common methods used to address need and is based on six core principles:
Everyone has value.
We are called to invest relationally in each other.
Everyone has capacity and potential.
Mutual participation is important.
We must use wisdom and discernment.
How we help should offer opportunities for transformation.
